What is the performance degradation of a fossil fuel car over time. I had an old MG Midget as a teenager and we needed to rebore the cylinders, reseat the valves and regrind the crank to get anywhere near the original performance. I remember watching (I know they go over the top for entertainment) Top Gear where they picked up some old supercars (Lamborghini etc) and discovered they produced very little power compared to their as new figures.
