I very much agree on the income inequality point, with more and more jobs first being off shored and now AI’d out off the local labour market, how will we afford to purchase the goods and services provided around us? 10 years ago I managed a team that used machine learning to automate a chunk of document processing that used to be carried out by junior accountants as part of their training. The same for tax inspectors a couple of years later. How will they learn?

But in terms of the use of AI tools, I use them to transcribe meetings and produce first draft minutes/actions (I’ve recently lost hearing in my left ear so determining speech can be a challenge). My son’s high school English homework is marked by AI and his out of school maths is tutored via AI (Khan Academy). My graphic designers now use AI to produce pitch documents (and we are winning based on these).
