As a family we tried a whole range of meat alternatives, some ok but tofu hotdogs were universally despised. We’ve now cut beef it was mostly just mince and burgers) for soya mince and veggie burgers of various types. We’ve still eat chicken in curries but tofu in sit fry’s. We’ve still do occasionally chop some chorizo to drop into pasta or poor man’s potatoes. We still have a bottle of cow milk every couple of days for tea, but soya and hazelnut milk for everything else (the kids prefer them).
