All of my developers, QA and clients are remote from our offices (the developers are in different countries) and I work with them via MS Teams, DevOps and email. We now have a return to office mandate that means I need to pay thousands in commuting costs to go to an office to… work with remote developers and QA over MS Teams, DevOps,… yey for a bigger carbon footprint, less productive time online (I normally start earlier and finish later when WFH) and having to pay someone to check in on my elderly mum everyday.
